What is SOUL EQUIP?
This is the leadership training program that Soul Survivor launched in 2008, equipping youth and young adults in the three areas of prayer ministry, servant evangelism and worship leading. We kicked off to a great start with 22 fantastic people growing and being challenged in their area of leadership and now we have grown into a community eager to continue learning and being stretched.
What's happening in 2010?
Soul Survivor is offering 2 SOUL EQUIP Streams in 2010:
> EVANGELISM STREAM - led by Tara McLennan + John Lamerton
> WORSHIP STREAM - led by Chris Ives + Steve Bernard
SOUL EQUIP is held on the last Monday of every month - all welcome!!

26 JULY // EVANGELISM STREAM // KEVIN WILCOCK // From New Life Church, Newcastle, Kev has a wonderful passion for connecting with people in their community. He has been in ministry since his teens and has been involved in a number of church plants and ministries through out Australia including Forge Missional Network. He is a natural empower and has many exciting stories to share about mission in your local context - in particular how food + drink can be key instruments in our mission! (We like that!)
23 AUGUST // SITW + SOUL EQUIP // KATHY + ANDY SORENSON // Andy and Kathy from the Grove Studios are coming! There is going to be no formal talk, only food, company, ambience, music and a touch of creativity! Andy and Kathy are putting music + justice together... prepare to be inspired to do the same!
A glimpse of who has come...
JUNE 2010 // GEOFF BULLOCK //Geoff shared of the work of Jesus' grace in his life and how it has effected everything, not just his song writing. We were reminded to stop striving, as he shared that the sound of worship is love. "We can't fall from grace, only into it". Challenging the consumer Christianity of our day, this humble songwriter commented "worship music won't save the world, but love will" as he encouraged us to live a life of compassion and grace.
