A soul.team is our way to encourage, support, bless, serve and equip churches and youth groups in the values we share.
soul.teams are travelling groups made up of a worship team, speaker, prayer ministry team. We visit city and rural churches, youth services, camps, schools and conferences near and far.
Helping the community
Serving two schools in Bidwill, in Sydney's western suburbs we helped with general tidying, gardening, in their ag plot and in supporting their maintenance staff. We revisited them as part of our 2014 soul.conference.
In July 2013, we sent a team to South Africa, and as part of the trip the team worked alongside the local church to paint a rehabilitation home for young girls. We are sending another team back to South Africa in mid-2014 to visit our World Vision sponsor children, serve alongside Amor Ministries in building houses, and to visit a few other projects.
In 2015, Soul in the Bush was 4 days of serving in the local community in Canberra. 700 trees were planted in the areas around Burra, an old orphanage restored to become a womens refuge and education centre, children's holiday programs run by our youth, and much more painting, gardening and restoration in and around the local area.
More Than a Song, 2016 was a year of serving through washing peoples cars around the Kellyville area. Galston high received a garden and painting blitz as 150 young people were released to bless the school and AngliCare received some help in cleaning up their spaces to better cater for the people that need it.
In September of 2018 we sent a team down to Wagga Wagga for a weekend to serve the community there. Alongisde Wagga Wagga Baptist we ran 3 sessions for youth and leaders, helped at two morning church services and helped the church run a service project.
During the 2019 soul.conference two days were spent serving the local and international community. A bunch of youth spent the afternoons sanding, painting and assembling 230 toy trucks to be sent to Samaritan’s Purse. One of the other groups served the community by planting 412 trees while some other youth wrote a total of 12 letters to their local MP’s.
If you would like us to help your church work practically in the community, it would be our pleasure so please contact us for assistance in the form below.
