16-18 August in the Blue Mountains

rego now! rego closes 6th August

We are excited to retreat together this August in the Blue Mountains!

Come away with us for a weekend of worship, teaching and prayer ministry. We are excited to have the opportunity to soak up God’s beautiful creation with bush walks, campfires and to spend time receiving from Him.

We will be focusing on the call for Christians to be out in the world, amongst the mess and human-ness while pursuing righteousness. We’ll be considering the challenge to embody the love of Christ and not keep it to ourselves.

Open to anyone 18+

program overview

friday. We’ll kick off the retreat with dinner before heading into our first session of worship, a reflection and prayer min. Followed by bonfires and vibes.
saturday. A full day where we will share in worship, short reflections, guided quiet times, free time, adventures, food and of course sweet fellowship.
sunday. Solid brekkie, more worship, reflections, quiet times and communion all finishing up before lunch. You can spend the afternoon exploring the mountains or heading back home to get your washing done for the week.

accommodation

If you're sleeping on site, you will have a bed allocated to you along with a group of fantastic guys or gals! Gals in gals rooms and guys in guys rooms. You know the drill.

catering

All meals will be provided. We're excited to partner with KCC’s caterer, James Barnes, a qualified pastry chef, who will be preparing some delicious home-cooked meals for us! For those that are asking the coffee question, no doubt, there will be real coffee provided brought to you by some legendary baristas.

theme

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."  Matthew 5:16
In Soul Survivor this year, we are exploring the call for Christians to be people of action - witnessing to others out in a messy world, practicing the love of God while being challenged to keep our eyes fixed on righteousness. Over the retreat we will enjoy the Blue Mountains as a beautiful place to rest, reflect and enjoy taking steps to become more like Jesus. We are looking forward to opening God’s Word, being refreshed by the Holy Spirit and being spurred on to keep growing in our discipleship journey.

In particular, we’ll be inspired by stories of how Jesus, his disciples and early Christians interacted with those they met on the road - inviting them into something greater and loving them along the way. If you’re keen for some pre-reading, check out Mark 1, Luke 10, Acts 8 and Acts 16.

speaker

The wonderful Tim Piesse is going to be sharing with us over the weekend of Retreat. Tim is the National Director of Building a Discipling Culture - an initiative out of Crossway Baptist Church in Melbourne. Before taking on that role, Tim spent time as Crossway’s Discipleship Pastor and Creative Ministries and Worship Pastor. He is married to Sarah and they have 4 kids.

Tim is a fantastic Bible teacher and we are so excited to hear from him!
